I fail to understand the relevance of this avalanche of statisitcs, all about ‘growth’. The minutiae of miniscule changes of ‘growth’ from one month to the next. What is the point of it all? Does any of it help to understand the nature of Chinese society, or its economy or where it’s all headed?
It does show where china is headed. Tracking the fall in profitability is important. I would argue given the weight of sanctions the next 6 months will be decisive. In any case you know I have already analysed the nature of the Chinese economy and its contradictions.
You say: ” In any case you know I have already analysed the nature of the Chinese economy and its contradictions.”
Precisely! That’s why I find this mass of statistics less than useful, in fact, obscuring the essentials, namely it’s relevance to China’s survival.
