Attempts at solving the Transformation Problem as outlined by Marx in Chapter 9 of Volume 3 of Das Kapital, has proved to be the grave yard for many reputations. Some solutions have attempted to render Marx more profound, others have revised Marx while the remaining Marxists have reinvented the transformation problem. If I was not convinced 5 years ago that this solution not only remains loyal to Marx’s method but extends it, I am now. This solution has stood the test of time and the reader will find three more articles on this site which further elaborates on the relation between value and price.
