Debacle? So once again, it’s all the fault of the Soviet Union, despite all you fine words? Yet it was the Soviet Union that actually lived by those words, made the mistakes, debated the issues, that tried to build the new world you talk of and paid the price in spite of everything. Can the Western left never stop blaming the Soviet Union for its own failings? For not living by its own, fine words? The Soviet Union transformed the world and everybody in it. Isn’t it time you stopped the blame game as we live on the edge of destruction?
