Neo-liberalism is essentially capitalism without the virtuous pretensions.Its most pernicious characteristic is its unrelenting attack on anything resembling social solidarity which is the basis upon which a socialist society will be built.In the end this is the endearing legacy of Margaret Thatcher whose actual concrete projects such as water and railway privatization have been for the most part abject (though never recognized as such) failures.This is the challenge that all those who wish to build socialism must face up to.
