IS NATIONALISING THE COMMANDING HEIGHTS OF THE ECONOMY A VALID TRANSITIONAL DEMAND?

Those on the left who call for the nationalization of only the top corporations, anywhere between 100 and 500 depending on the group, are proposing that the route to communism first passes through the portal of state capitalism.

‘THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN PREDICTING THE FUTURE IS BEING TRAPPED BY THE PAST’

I love the title! It reflects exactly how I feel about the Western left.

Have you read this – https://www.marxists.org/subject/left-wing/gik/1930/index.htm

Their idea of communism is very similar to yours.

Marx, taking the concept over from Hegel, writes of the immanent laws of capitalism; the immanent critique; the immanent measure; the immanent relation, NOT imminent. Immanent refers to the inherent, intrinsic qualities of the relations under examination. Imminent, impending, events that can be external to the subject under investigation.
