   Hello again!

   I was just reading about Japan and the “stagnation” there. I was wondering if you ever calculated the ROP fro Japan? It might be interesting to see how it relates to the situation there.

   I wish I could. It is very difficult to find gross output figures for Japan. Unlike Britain, the USA and China they do not issue regular data. If memory serves me, the last input-output tables related to 2011 or 2007. If you could find this data it would be helpful. Remember Gross Output masquerades as total revenue as in the case of China.

     You have. Thank you comrade. Would you like to work on this table together. We can extract a rate of turnover, surplus value and profit and compare it to the previous tables.

       Thanks. Sure we can. But I don’t have any experience calculating ROPs though. But am willing to learn? Do we need to use Excel?
