Certainly agree with the main points you make. However, this “Now imagine a world where the youth is mobilised to head for the Rockies to build these dams and save the planet,” needs some qualification given the tremendous disruption dams produce in their construction and operation– emission, wildlife, agriculture, shared usage of the river water etc. It might be that the “unrealized costs” and the inequities of damn construction, once realized, mitigate against that vision.
