Given the weight you place on the possession of intellectual property and infrastructure in the high test industry, how important do you feel is the intense exploitation of Chinese tech workers (e.g. 966 schedule, curse of 35), as facilitated by the Chinese state, for the success of Chinese tech companies like Huawei in competing with Western giants? If you feel this degree of exploitation is essential, then would you support the relative severity of contemporary “socialism with Chinese characteristics” as a necessary measure to allow “communist” Chinese society to survive in its existential battle with Western imperialism, roughly analogous to the necessity of Stalin’s industrialization to prepare the war effort against Nazi Germany? If as you say that US technology monopoly is the decisive factor in the US Dollar hegemony, then the Chinese tech industry would represent one of the most formidable liberating factors in the world as I understand it.
Yes I am aware of the intense exploitation of Chinese workers described as 966 and the curse of 35. I consider China to be a capitalist state and economy that has nothing to do with socialism. I describe it as a market economy with Chinese characteristics, mainly because it has a large state industrial and financial sector, with a high degree of state direction.
The same exploitation you describe prevailed in silicon valley excused under the tag, geek culture. In China I would assume nationalism played a motivating role. However, I would attribute the success in China, particularly around Huawei, not only down to exploitation but to better organisation and more efficient use of resources.
