Thank you for this informative report. It is essential to recognize the consequences of the political dependency of the working class on a ruling party, even if that party calls itself communist, as exemplified by Chinese Stalinism. It drives home why we fight for the unqualified political independence of the working class. The details about the condition of the working class in China and its similarity to the USA are eye opening and frankly disheartening. I would just like to observe that, despite the different classifications of the Chinese political economy by you and Michael Roberts, both of you are unconditionally opposed to the machinations of US imperialism and its lackeys in their adventure to overthrow and replace the nationalistic Chinese state with one of compradors and thus rescue rotten American hegemony at the expense of the world. So on this point, which I feel is the most important for us Westerners in terms of guiding our concrete political actions, there is consensus among genuine socialists.

china responded ( spokesperson ) in Mao fashion till the end etc.,) after US went to town bad mouthing china for over a decade and also about taiwan.

i think there is no bad press against public sector in china unlike rest of world.

Isn’t it a good thing to have a self professed communist country as the richest country in the world since people observe and imitate rich, unfortunately.Isn’t that why Europe is not communist ? I mean most europeans looked towards USA not USSR.
